GAME UPDATE!


Hello there, just thought I'd update you all with some news on Kira's Legacy! 


Since my last devlog, I have added some new features and I will go into more depth as to what they are right now. 


Autosaving - Autosaving has been a feature in video for many years, and I myself have relied on this feature for quite a while. Many times in the past have I played a game for hours, forgetting to save and then having to start over again. Thankfully, in Kira's Legacy, that won't be an issue. The game will autosave at key points throughout the story (upon entering and exiting dungeons and towns) providing that you have saved the game at least once befor, but will never autosave before a boss battle. This is so that, if you happen to not be prepared enough, you can always go back to the nearest town to get more supplies as needed. 

Some of you more hard-core RPG gamers would prefer to play a game without an autosave feature, and that's why I have made an option for autosaving to be permanently switched off. 


Artwork - Not a huge one, but all items and skills now have brand new icons. No more of the RTP icons exist in the game, and it looks much better for it. 


SFX - Again, another minor one, but some of the base sound effects have been completely replaced by some that I have made myself. 


Battles - I have introduced some Action Sequences within the battles, none of these are massively over the top, but they do add some more depth to the battle system. 

Also, many new skills have been added and a new category of attacks (SPECIAL) have been introduced for one of the characters. 


Progress is going very well on the game and is still scheduled to be released on 16/7/21.
